Cautions about taking VIAGRA

Posted on Fri, 23 Apr 2010 16:44:00 by Tamatha

VIAGRA® is only for patients with ED, and is not approved for use in women, children or newborns.

You should not let anyone take your VIAGRA® and VIAGRA must be only dispensed under a doctor or other healthcare provider's supervision.

Cautions about taking VIAGRA®

Before you use VIAGRA®, be sure to find out if your heart is healthy enough. If you take nitrate drugs, like nitroglycerine, NEVER TAKE VIAGRA®!

The combination of VIAGRA® and nitrates can make your blood pressure suddenly drop to an unsafe or life threatening level. You could get dizzy, faint, or even have a heart attack or stroke.

Nitrates are found in many prescription medicines that are used to treat angina (chest pain due to heart disease) such as:

* nitroglycerin (sprays, ointments, skin patches or pastes, and tablets that are swallowed or dissolved in the mouth)

* isosorbide mononitrate and isosorbide dinitrate (tablets that are swallowed, chewed, or dissolved in the mouth)

If you are not sure if any of your medicines contain nitrates, or if you do not understand what nitrates are, ask your healthcare provider or pharmacist.
