Cellular Health Well-Being with 23 synergistic ingredients, including 50 mg of ActiVin™ and 1000mcg of ChromeMate®.

An extremely potent and pure super antioxidant formula. Stress and free radicals are scientifically proven to reduce well-being, cause aging and the compromise of cellular integrity. ActiVin OPC 50 may help,

* control free radical damage
* maintain proper blood sugar levels
* bolster your defense system
* slow down the aging process
* maintain heart and cardiovascular health
* improve eye nutrition
* strengthen ability to adapt to stress
* improve endurance and recovery

ActiVin OPC 50 contains 23 synergistic ingredients, including ActiVin which is the most potent and purest OPC available today. The grape seed extract is extracted with a patented water method instead of toxic chemicals. The 50 milligrams of ActiVin means that it is dosage dependent, because any less ActiVin would be "fairy dusting" and the formula just won't work. ActiVin also contains ChromeMate (1,000 mcgs of niacin bound chromium polynicotinate). This is the most bioavailable form of chromium and the effective for potentiating insulin. The L-OptiZinc is the only zinc recommended for human consumption by eh FDA because it does not cause copper depletion as most forms of zinc supplements do.

How does ActiVin™ OPC 50™ grape seed extract compare to vitamins C, E and beta-carotene?

It's a more potent antioxidant! In fact, in every study in which they've been compared, ActiVin has been shown to be a far more powerful antioxidant that vitamins C, E and beta-carotene.
Antioxidants are important for good health. They fight free radicals-highly reactive molecules that can break down cells and have been linked to more than 60 chronic diseases.
ActiVin is a super antioxidant extracted from the seeds of red grapes. More than 60 research presentations, publications, and abstracts have reported specifically on the exciting health benefits of ActiVin IH636.
ActiVin is all natural, The unique ActiPure™ process (patent pending) eliminates the toxic solvents used in the manufacture of other grape seed extracts. So you can rely on a highly effective composition that's not only safe to take, but environmentally friendly to produce.
ActiVin OPC 50 is a dietary supplement synergistically blended to increase the power of your antioxidant defense system.

Three New Studies Show That ActiVin™ Protects Against Drug And Chemical Toxicity

Three new studies show that ActiVin, InterHealth Nutraceutical's novel IH636 grape seed proanthocyanidin extract, provides significant multi-organ protection against a variety of drug and chemical toxic assaults.

Researchers at Long Island University (Brooklyn, NY), the University of Nebraska (Omaha, NE) and Creighton University (Omaha, NE), demonstrated that ActiVin significantly reduced indices of drug and chemical toxicity in multiple vital organs including heart, lung, kidney, spleen and brain. Results of the new research were presented at the Society of Toxicity meeting in New Orleans on March 16, 1999 and at the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) conference in Washington, D.C. on April 17, 1999.

In the first study, presented at FASEB, researchers at Long Island and Creighton Universities examined the protective effects of ActiVin on the lungs, spleen, kidney and brain. They studied the ability of ActiVin to protect against pulmonary (lung) toxicity induced by Amiodarone, a drug used to treat cardiac arrhythmia, spleen toxicity induced by dimethylnitrosamine, an environmental pollutant found in tobacco smoke and in cured and charred meats, and kidney toxicity induced by cadmium chloride, an industrial chemical that contributes to air and water pollution. They also examined ActiVin's ability to mitigate toxicity to brain tissue exposed to MOCAP, a broad spectrum pesticide that can induce brain toxicity through inhalation, skin contact and drinking water.

In each experiment, half of the test animals (mice) were fed ActiVin for seven days prior to exposure to toxic levels of these substances, while the other half received no ActiVin. Following exposure, changes in serum chemistry, histopathology and the integrity of genomic DNA were measured. The results showed that ActiVin provided near complete protection in terms of serum chemistry changes, totally eliminated both apoptotic and necrotic cell death, and provided significant protection against DNA damage.

In another study, presented at the Society of Toxicology meeting, the Long Island and Creighton University researchers examined the protective effects of ActiVin against Doxorubicin, a potent anti-cancer drug that is toxic to the heart. Like the multi-organ toxicity presented at FASEB, pre-treatment with ActiVin for seven days prevented damage to the heart and totally eliminated all apoptotic and necrotic cell death. The heart tissue of animals exposed the toxic levels of Doxorubicin, but not fed ActiVin, was significantly damaged. ActiVin also provided near complete protection against changes in serum chemistry and DNA damage compared with controls. ActiVin's protection was fully equivalent to that of 3-Aminobenzamide (3-AB), a drug used in conjunction with chemotherapy to prevent DNA damage.

The third study, also presented at FASEB, was undertaken by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University Sciences Center as a follow-up to their previous study that showed ActiVin protects normal liver cells and peripheral blood mononuclear cells from the toxic effects of chemotherapy drugs. This new study demonstrated that ActiVin's protective effects occur at the genetic level. The researchers showed that normal human liver cells pre-treated with ActiVin for 48 hours prior to introduction of chemotherapy drugs, idarubicin or 4-hydrocyperocyclophosphamide (4HC), increased the expression of bcl-2 antioxidant-promoting gene and decreased the expression of c-myc cancer-inducing gene and p53 apoptosis regulating gene.

According to Dr. Debasis Bagchi, a lead researcher at Creighton University, "These studies add to the growing body of evidence that ActiVin is a powerful antioxidant that can protect the body's organs and tissues from a variety of drug and chemical toxic assaults."
