A CUPPA COFFEE
Because patients are not supposed to eat or drink for 24 hours prior to surgery, reasearchers at the Mayo clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, suspect that some post operative headaches could be due to caffeine withdrawl. Sure enough, coffeee drinkers who got a shot of caffeine after surgery came out of anaesthesia with fewer complaints. A cup of joe two hours before surgery helped and did not adversely affect the operation.
